Benefits of walking

Benefits of walking
.........................

Why walk?
These days everyone is concerned about his or her health. Everyone seems to be joining a gym, aerobic class or a yoga class. However, everyone can not opt for strenuous exercises. For instance, people with heart or respiratory diseases are advised against strenuous exercises. Then there are those who join these classes with a great enthusiasm but as days go by they tend to return to their former lifestyle. Lack of time and slow results are some of the common reasons for giving up their exercise regimes. People prefer an exercise regime that gives good results in a short time. The good news is that just walking enough every day can provide you with the results that you are looking for!!!
Everyone at any age can walk. This is why doctors recommend walking for a lot of heart patients. Even older people with arthritis can opt for brisk walking and stay active. Walking does not require any prescription

Make walking interesting
There is no hard and fast rule for walking. You can start walking by spending 10 minutes in the initial days. Gradually increase the distance and thereafter the speed. You can also start your healthy routine by walking on alternate days and eventually everyday. Ideally, you must walk for 30 minutes on a daily basis which can even be break down into 3 sessions of 10 minutes. Walking can be fun, if you follow the below tips:

    * Walk around the familiar area which may include local shops, bazaar or gardens.
* Try to walk in busy, populated area (stay away from polluted area).
* During rainy days or hot summer, choose indoor shopping center.
* Walk on local parks, open spaces and pathways.

Benefits of walking
You will not believe that walking can offer you some of the most essential benefits. It has been proved by professionals that walking alone can reduce the chances of developing number of diseases. Some of the invaluable benefits of walking are:

    * Weight management. Losing weight requires a healthy diet along with daily physical activities. Walking can help you to achieve a fit body. Brisk walking can lower the risks of heart disease, stroke, cancer,
* Building good cholesterol. Low-density lipoproteins or bad cholesterol can be reduced by walking regularly. This bad cholesterol is the major cause of heart attacks. Walking for half an hour regularly can help boosting good cholesterol.
* Preventing stroke. Walking regularly for half an hour is nearly equivalent to moderate exercises. It has been found that walking can reduce the chances of strokes to almost 50 %.

Besides this, walking can help lower stress, improve sleep, strengthen muscles and prevent colon cancer, osteoporosis, and impotency.
Remember, walking for just half an hour daily can add years to your life!!!!

share ur feelings..................

We’ve been watching the Sit and Be Fit programs on PBS but she goes much too fast for my husband to follow. By the time he’s processed what he’s supposed to do, she’s on to something else. Does anyone know of a good DVD that would provide suitable exercises for someone with Stage III-IV LBD? In other words, slow and repetitious?

What Are The Three Essential Exercises?

We want to maximize results and save time. Bearing this in mind, we are going to focus on multi joint movements that work the biggest muscle groups of the body. We are also going to eliminate excuses by keeping the exercises body weight in nature. To some, this may seem too simple, but the key is in application. If you follow the basic rules that we espouse on our site, you will get results, and when you are ready to progress to making each of these exercises harder, you certainly can. The big three that we will start off with are going to be the Squat, The Pull-Up, and the Push-Up.

We are going to always make our goals realistic. Looking for perfect technique before all else, there is no reason to add weight, if you aren’t capable of doing it right with your body weight first. We are going to shoot for 3 sets of 15 repetitions with 1 minute or less of recovery. Once we can nail 3X15 then we can play with adding weight.

These exercises are great because they can be changed easily without any extra equipment needed. You can vary your hand or foot width, you can vary the speed at which you are completing each rep and you can always cut your rest between sets down to dramatically increase the amount of work you are doing. If you are not sure about proper technique or form, please go to our exercise library and download the exercise in question.

Does anyone even use an @rocketmail.com address

A few years ago yahoo allowed users to register @rocketmail.com email accounts, which hasnt been allowed since 1997. Which i guess is pretty cool. I mean its hard to get a decent email address from a major provider.

So i was just thinking: Does anyone even use an @rocketmail.com addy for their email accounts? I have yet to see one person actually use it, or even post it anywhere. No members on any of my sites have signed up using one either.

Does anyone here use one, or know anyone that does?

I guess the domain is kinda long. i dunno

Just curious and interested to find out.

Handle Stress Better

Stress is a normal part of every person’s life. It is actually necessary to have some stress in life. Otherwise, a person would have no motivation for self-improvement or hard work. However, too much stress can cause many health problems. Some symptoms of stress include anxiety, high blood pressure, irritability, tense muscles, headaches, stomachaches, and lower resistance to illness. Physical activity and exercise, especially noncompetitive activity, help to manage stress. They give a person the opportunity to feel calmer and more alert, which can help a person work through the things that are causing the stress. They also boost the immune system, so resistance to illness will increase.

Has anyone tried this online game?

Beside shooting blood everywhere and doing quests for others, talking to monsters that I’ll never find in real life ... I found this game interesting for surviving ( although are lot’s of topics to be covered ).

A difference from Wikipedia ( you only have content ) this game kind of force you to read about topics / ideas / concepts ( learning without knowing it )

Idea of the game: Win credits for solving questions and use the credits to post your own questions for other users to solve!

Take a look around you can find the concept useful for you.

I noticed just today this very annoying banner ad here in Men’s Health forum. This is the vertical banner ad on your right about hair loss. Whenever your mouse goes over it, it pops a large ad occupying half of the site’s width. It’s very annoying kasi di mo makita yung binabasa mo and you’ll have to wait a while before a “close” button appears para ma close mo yung ad.

The thing to keep in mind is that HTML and CSS are all about separating the content (HTML) and the presentation (CSS). HTML is nothing more than fancy structured content and the visual formatting of that content will come later when we tackle CSS.
If you have looked at other HTML tutorials, you might have found that they mention certain things that HTML Dog does not. This is because many methods are obsolete, non-standard or just plain bad practice. Getting into the frame of mind of doing things the right way from the start will turn in to much better results in the end.

Need Simple Solution for a Small Training Room

Basically I’m looking at a front projector, drop down screen and 2 - 4 speakers. The space isn’t very big and the light will be manually controllable via shades and light switches.

This is a small company and is their first office. At this time, we’re trying to work with the existing conduits that are in place to keep cost down. We have a 1/2’ conduit with 2 cat5’s in it (below the table).

Only need VGA (same as RGBHV, right?) to the projector right now. I’m thinking a Panasonic Pro Projector and some basic speakers.

I’m not sure about the screen or the speakers. For the video to the projector, I’m looking for a balun solution so that we can fit into the conduit.

For the audio, I’m thinking line level into the PJ and then out to an amp or self powered speakers, just use the PJ remote for volume control on/off. I’m going to propose an RTI 4/6 button keypad as the main control.

I noticed that Panasonic has a lot of PJ’s in pretty much the same price range, does anyone have one they prefer or would suggest a different brand?

We’re looking at 100-110” diag screen with furthest viewer at 20’.
